Focal Vestia CC centre speaker is designed to match and voice perfectly with other speakers from the Vestia range in a multi-channel setup. It features two bass drivers made of slatefibre an innovative carbon fibre composite with excellent acoustic properties and an aluminium magnesium inverted dome tweeter, for crisp and clear treble.

Vestia series sits Just above the Chora line and just below Aria line. There are also floor standers and bookshelf speakers in the range and like the other Vestia speakers, there is a choice of black, light wood or dark wood finishes to match.

New Cabinet Design

Although a centre speaker reproduces mostly voices it needs to have a wide spectrum to deal with sound effects, music and other sounds. Hence the two bass drivers and tweeter. The centre speaker can be used with any of the other Vestia speakers in the range. They all have an MDF cabinet with more than one tuned vent to enhance the bass performance.

Vestia loudspeakers also feature new slatefibre divers for a natural sound. Furthermore, the floor standers sit on aluminium stands so that they are tilted back slightly. This improves the timing so that all frequencies arrive at the listener at the same time.

Rigid Slatefibre Drivers

As with the rest of the Vestia range the CC centre speaker uses Slatefibre bass drivers. The Slatefibre technology was developed in 2019 and gives a rich and ultra-balanced sound, especially in the midranges. The slate effect cone is an attractive feature.

These French made cones are made of non-woven carbon fibres bonded with a thermoplastic polymer. This makes for a very strong and rigid structure that resists warping. Rigidity is improved by having the fibres oriented in the same direction. Moreover, this improves the damping. As carbon fibre is a very light material, this improves the sensitivity of the speakers.

TAM Aluminium Tweeter

The TAM tweeter uses a 25mm hi-end Aluminium magnesium inverted dome. A metal dome dissipates heat better, for more power handling. It also has good off-axis properties. Notably, the TAM tweeter was developed for car audio so has good dispersion properties.

Vestia Range

The Vestia range consists of the N1-N4 and the CC centre speaker. The N1 is a bookshelf speaker with one bass driver and a tweeter. Next, the N2 is a floor stander with four drivers, two mid-range and two bass. The N3 is a five driver unit with three 6” bass units. Finally the N4 is the flagship floor stander with two 8” bass units. All the floor standers sit on tilted aluminium stands.
